Signature Settlement Funding was founded by attorneys who saw a specific need among several of their clients. These clients were burdened with increasing medical bills and living expenses, but their cases weren’t settling fast enough to make payments. The attorneys launched Signature Settlement Funding to provide a way for plaintiffs to receive pre-settlement funding and make life livable until their case closed.

Kevin Michaels

Kevin graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown Campus after serving in the U.S. Army where he received several decorations and awards. While working full time at a prominent Houston law firm, Kevin attended South Texas College of Law, graduating in May 1992. After being licensed in November 1992, Kevin practiced law at two law firms before opening his own firm in January 2000 where he concentrates his practice on commercial and business tort litigation in addition to business and transactional law to include contract and agreement preparation and review, general corporate counseling and entity creation. The firm’s representative clients include many individuals and corporate businesses located throughout the United States and Canada, some of whom have foreign investors and/or directors. Kevin has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell that indicates the highest legal ability and ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar.
